Connecting your wallet
One visit to the approval page: prove the wallet is yours, then approve a trading key and the bot fee (0.05% on a typical bot).
Key ideas
- 1Connect from your community’s bot: it sends a fresh approval link that works for 30 minutes.
- 2On connect.lancetrade.xyz your wallet first signs a message naming you, then approves two things on Hyperliquid: the trading key and the most the bot fee can be (0.05% on a typical bot).
- 3Back in Telegram, the bot connects only the wallet that signed. A key lasts 180 days and renews with one signature.
- 4You can remove access in the bot at any time, or on Hyperliquid itself.
What you need
- A crypto wallet: a browser extension on a computer, or MetaMask’s in-app browser on a phone.
- USDC in your Hyperliquid account to trade with. You add it on Hyperliquid’s own app.
- Your community’s bot open in Telegram, signed in with your own account.
Connecting costs nothing and moves no money. It takes about a minute.
Step by step
- 1Ask your bot to connectIt sends a fresh link, just for you, that works for 30 minutes.
- 2Open it on connect.lancetrade.xyzCheck the address. The page shows which Telegram account the link is for.
- 3Sign a messageYour wallet signs a message naming you. It is free, sends nothing and proves the wallet is yours.
- 4Approve the trading keyOne approval on Hyperliquid: the key can trade for you and can never withdraw.
- 5Approve the bot feeA second approval sets the most the bot can charge per trade. Your bot shows its exact fee (0.05% on a typical bot) before every trade.
- 6Back to TelegramTap Back to Telegram, or send the bot the one-time code the page shows. It connects only the wallet that signed.
Staying connected
Hyperliquid accepts a trading key for up to 180 days. Your bot warns you 14, 3 and 1 days before it runs out; renewing takes one signature on the same page.
To stop the bot trading for you, remove access from Wallet and access in the bot. You can also remove the key on Hyperliquid itself, and your positions stay where they are either way.
Common mistakes
- Approving on a look-alike site. The address must be exactly connect.lancetrade.xyz, and the page shows which Telegram account the link is for.
- Sharing the one-time code the page shows. It only works from your own Telegram account; never send it to anyone else.
- Typing your seed phrase anywhere. Lance never asks for it, and nobody from your community will.
- Letting the key expire unnoticed. The bot warns you 14, 3 and 1 days before; renewing takes one signature.
