Key ideas

  1. 1Lance groups your fills into round trips: each position from the first open to the final close, with its result after fees.
  2. 2A calendar shows each day’s result, so good and bad streaks are easy to see.
  3. 3Add notes and tags to trades (why you entered, what you felt) and see which tags cost you.
  4. 4Copied trades are marked, so you can see how copying has gone compared with your own trades.

Round trips

Your stats group fills into round trips: each position from its first open to its final close, however many fills it took, with its result after fees. That is the honest unit to judge a trade by.

The calendar

A calendar shows each day’s result. Streaks, quiet weeks and the day that went wrong are easy to see, and to look into.

Notes and tags

Add a note and tags to any trade: why you entered, what you felt, what you would do differently. Tags add up across trades, so you can see which setups and habits have cost you over time.

Copies and sharing

Trades you copied from a followed wallet are marked, so you can see how copying has gone beside your own trades. Where your community has share cards on, you can make a picture of a closed trade to share.

Common mistakes

  • Only reviewing the wins.
  • Judging a habit by one trade. Look at the tag’s results over many.

What is a round trip?

Lance Learn is education, not advice. Examples use made-up or rounded numbers and say so; nothing here tells you what to trade.

Trading perpetual futures with leverage is high risk. Prices can move fast and you can lose all the money you put in. Lance is software: it does not give investment advice, manage money or trade on anyone’s behalf. Trades are executed on Hyperliquid, a third-party exchange that is not affiliated with Lance. Lance is not available to persons in the United States, the United Kingdom and sanctioned countries.
